We just got an email from the Oncologist. Here’s the entire body of the email: “Susan, the results are great! The lymph nodes are significantly smaller and are no longer metabolically active! Great news!” Sounds like the cancer is dead.
Susan’s plane had mechanical errors last night, causing her to miss her connecting flight in Seattle. She made the best of the situation, though, and spent the night and part of today with one of her best friends who lives in Seattle. She made it to Montana safely tonight and is thrilled to be sleeping in a really girly room in her parent’s Montana retreat.
Wow, that is so awesome!!! Congrats on the cancer being dead. It is about time it got its butt kicked after all that you have been through. I hope that you have a wonderful vacation and enjoy sleeping in your girly room.
I am so uterly excited for all of you! I hope Susie is resting well. Russell, I hope you are doing all right…you seem to have the Mr. Mom thing down to a science. =) xoxo
YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ha Ha on you, cancer!!! You lose!!!!
Susan, That is so awesome I couldn’t be more excited for you! You deserve some really great news! I hope you have a wonderful time while you’re in Montana and I hope your dad takes you on a great shopping spree!!! Relax and enjoy I know the boys are in wonderful hands! If I can help let me know!!!

Dear Susie’s Cancer (whom I have tentatively named: Melvin):
The only thing worse than being cancer, is failing at being cancer. And you Melvin, have failed. Loser.
Sincerely,
Ryan
Russell & Susan,
Lisa
I am leaping for joy for the both of you! God is so GOOD! What a terrific PRAISE REPORT!
I am glad to hear that the treatment is working, it just sucks that you still have to go through with the rest of them. I guess it is better to be extra safe that every tiny little part of it is dead. And I am like Kevin, I was done with you having cancer months ago.
Awesome!!!! All you suffering was your body fighting so hard. See how strong and powerful you are. Now let’s finish up and be done with this chapter in your life.
I am so happy for you, I can’t stop smiling
Luv ya,
Michelle
Hooray!!! What more is there to say?

Party, party, party! I just wanted to add my hooray to the rest…what great news! Hopefully this will make the rest a little more bearable knowing that it is effective…what an exciting time…maybe you need to have a cake and let the boys run around yelling, “Melvin is dead!”…right before you all eat it…we need pictures of that..maybe they could hack away at the cake too….have fun in Montana…I saw the pictures…it should be a nice break.
xoxo
I have not written in a while, but what a great time to read and write to you. I am soooo glad to hear of you improving health. What great news.
Keep up the good work and postitive attitude.
chris
That’s a better email than the one about the free computer if you forward this message to 47 of your best friends and they forward it on and on and on…
Seriously, congrats on having a healthy enough body to continue fighting. Your boys were great in church today. Adam needed his primary teacher (the incredible Rachelle Nelson) to say a prayer after the big crash of thunder so he wouldn’t be scared, and Tyler answered a question about “what do we pray for” with “so my mom will feel better.” I love their honest faith. You’re a good mom with a great family.
Susan-
I love you, Kelli
I haven’t been on my computer in a few days, however, I did get the news first hand from Russ in the school parking lot the other day!!! I am so happy and I could tell that he was so thrilled too. Your body has been fighting as hard against that terrible cancer as your mind has!! You are so strong
Yea! I was in tears when I read your good news. No one deserves this more than you and your sweet family.
AWESOME
Hope that this will be he news to help you get through the last sessions of chemo. We are all very excited about the good news.
Hi Susan,
Did you really expect any other result? It is the power of positive thinking and all the love and wishes and prayers that have been sent your way. Well that, and some crazy poison they been pumping thru you for months now….. but I do believe in the power of positive thoughts. Keep pushing thru, be very proud of yourself and keep on keeping on.
On an entirely different note, I miss seeing all you mommys at school everyday to pick up our boys. I hope Tyler is having a great start to 1st grade. I helped out at the book fair the other day while his class was in there and his teacher seemed really great and he was picking some challenging books . He is such a great boy.
I’ll try to call you soon.
Blessings on you and all you love,
Leigh Anne
I give up!!!!
You win, Susan Jeide!
Congratulations on a great fight.
Sincerely,
Cancer (the loser)
